JigiTeach is operated by JigiWeb CIC (company number 17257144), the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Our registered office is 17 Barnfield, Nottingham, NG11 7DT, United Kingdom. Contact us at hello@jigiweb.com. This policy explains how we use information when you request AI-generated lesson packs.

Please don’t submit personal pupil information.

When creating lesson packs, only describe learners in general terms such as “mixed ability Year 5 class” or “Year 9 pupils working below expected standard”. Never include names, addresses, medical information or any other information that could identify an individual learner.

1. Information we collect

To generate your lesson pack we collect the information you enter into the lesson planner, including:

  • Subject
  • Topic
  • Key Stage or Year Group
  • Learning objectives
  • Class information
  • Teaching preferences
  • Additional instructions you choose to provide
  • Your email address

We also collect limited technical information such as IP addresses, timestamps and basic security logs to help protect the service from misuse.

2. How we use your information

We use your lesson brief and email address to fulfil your request for a lesson pack, relying on performance of a contract or steps you request before a contract. We rely on legitimate interests to protect the service, prevent misuse and investigate technical faults, balanced against your rights. Where required, we rely on legal obligations for payment and accounting records, and obtain consent for optional processing that requires it. Agreeing to a privacy notice is not, by itself, consent to every use of information. We use information for these purposes:

  • Generate your requested lesson pack.
  • Email your completed resources to you.
  • Maintain the security and reliability of the service.
  • Investigate technical issues where necessary.

We do not sell your personal information or use your lesson requests for advertising.

3. AI processing

Your lesson brief is securely sent to our artificial intelligence provider to generate the resources you requested.

Our AI providers process information to generate the resources you request. Their applicable service terms may also permit processing and retention for security, abuse prevention, safety checks and legal requirements. We do not promise immediate deletion by every provider. Do not include identifiable pupil information, confidential material or other information that is unnecessary for your lesson brief.

For this reason, you should never include confidential or personally identifiable pupil information within your lesson brief.

4. Email delivery

Once your lesson pack has been created, it is emailed to the address you supplied together with your downloadable teaching resources.

Please ensure your email address is entered correctly and check your spam or junk folder if your lesson pack does not arrive within the expected time.

5. Data retention

Lesson requests are processed in order to generate your lesson pack and deliver it to you.

Technical logs may be retained for a limited period for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.

6. Third-party services

We use providers for AI text and image generation, server hosting and email delivery. Relevant information is shared as needed to generate and deliver your resources and operate the service. For app purchases, Apple or Google processes payments and transaction information is used to verify your purchase.

Providers process information under their applicable contracts and privacy arrangements. Some also process account, transaction or technical information for their own security and legal obligations. App-store payment information is also subject to the relevant store’s privacy notice. We do not sell your lesson requests or authorise their use for JigiTeach advertising.

7. Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information you provide against unauthorised access, misuse or disclosure.

While no online service can guarantee absolute security, we continually aim to keep your information safe.

8. Your rights

Depending on the processing and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your information, restrict processing, obtain a portable copy or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can object to direct marketing at any time. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Some rights are subject to legal conditions. You may:

  • Request access to your personal information.
  • Request corrections to inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of personal information where appropriate.
  • Raise concerns about how your information has been handled.

9. Cookies

JigiTeach may use essential cookies or similar technologies required for the website and lesson planner to function correctly.

We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or sell information about our users.

10. Contact

We will acknowledge complaints within 30 days, investigate without undue delay, keep you informed where appropriate and tell you the outcome.
